Limited Space
We would love to serve more clients, and have many more properties under our stewardship in the Okanagan. But, alas, as is frequently the case, this is a double edged sword.
We are unwilling to compromise on the quality of our work, and refuse to get overwhelmed by taking on too much. It has to remain fun for us to do our best work.
Thus, until we find more partners, or truly qualified employees with a passion for service & stewardship, we can only take on a select few clients. We have space for one large (5 – 10 hrs/week) Estate Garden client and one Kitchen Garden client for the 2025 season. If you think you fit the criteria for either/or, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kitchen Garden
We are looking for one more 2025 winery, restaurant or intentional community that is interested in growing their own food. Our season runs from the start of April until the end of November. The regular budget for this service is $2000/month (after initial build).
We like to consult with our clients, and then design and build (create permanent raised beds, bring in compost, etc.) the garden as early as possible. Following the initial build, we will have a monthly budget, based upon how many hours per week we come to the garden. He will make one weekly visit, and thus will need to work with your staff or community members in order to task them with daily needs for the garden. With a high level of fluency and regular practice in Spanish and French, he’s quite comfortable working in these languages if it helps.
We will design, consult, build, continuously plant and help maintain. We prefer to train your staff or community members to harvest, as this is the most rewarding and easiest way for us to draw people into the garden and finding the fun in taking ownership of their own food supply. Ultimately, we want you to be more connected with your food without the overwhelm of needing to learn everything all at once.
We take pride in our work, and do not want to waste resources by holding onto clients that we are not serving properly. We will not ask for a contract to be signed, and emphasize open communication lines so that we know how to best serve. That being said, we emphasize regenerative practices that get stronger and stronger as time goes on, and thus we are looking for clients that are open to continuing the project for years to come.
We look forward to meeting your crew and helping you provide for your kitchen.
Estate Garden
We have space for one more large estate garden for the 2025 season. Our ideal client is one that has a desire to have the highest degree of beauty and interest in their garden. If you’ve tried out other landscapers in the Okanagan and can’t seem to get the ‘best quality’ even though they all advertise to be so, then its’ time you come to us.
We want to get to know you, what you want from your property, what you expect and what you would love to incorporate.
We want to help you build your legacy into your land. Hummingbirds, butterflies, birds, fruit for the kids or grandkids, Zen meditation space, you name it, we will lean into it.
We work through our dynamic design principle. By this, we mean that we come to your property once a week, do the maintenance and add incremental improvements, constantly moving in the direction of our mutual goals. We are flexible to budget more time for larger projects when needed.
We no longer maintain cedars, as it is neither in your best interest to pay us to do so, nor is it where we find a passion, and we are actively moving away from any lawn management. Although these two elements are fairly standard around the Okanagan, we believe there are many other, more suitable and more beautiful options for your property.
Similarly, we do not have the heavy equipment or the manpower for large construction projects, so we work with other landscape businesses when a construction project is beyond our scope.
We will not ask for a contract to be signed, as we have no desire to pressure clients to stay with us. We have full confidence (and experience) that our work will keep the clients with whom we are aligned. Our regenerative practices get stronger as time goes on, and thus we are looking for clients that are open to a multiple year relationship.
We bill out at $100/hr for our estate gardens, and have space for only one more client this year, where we can spend from 5 – 10 hours a week.
We look forward to hearing your ideas, and getting your property engaged.
